A personal recommendation led NSW farmer Kirsten Dal Broi to choose Steelcorp to build his newest machinery shed – and he couldn’t be happier with the decision.
Kirsten engaged Steelcorp to design and construct a 40m by 18m machinery shed with two walls and open ends at his Hanwood property near Griffith.
“One of my mates had a shed built by Steelcorp and it was a similar style to what I wanted,” he says.
“I got a quote from Josh and it all worked out really well.”
Kirsten says that the volume of shed builders and options available made it difficult to know where to start when he needed a shed.
“There are so many different shed companies out there I was happy to get a personal recommendation and to have seen a project completed by the business already,” he says.
“The prices were comparable to others but the biggest deciding factor was I knew someone locally who was happy with your work.
“It was a simple design and he said you guys were easy to deal with.”
Kirsten’s farm produces cereal crops and he also operates a vineyard.
The machinery shed now houses trucks, harvesters, tractors and graders.
“We can now put equipment in there that was previously getting weather damaged,” he says.
He went for a height of 5m to allow easy access for large cereal and vineyard harvesters.
Kirsten says the only problem that arose during the build was some weather hold ups – not a huge concern for a cereal cropper during the growing season.
“They got stuck into it anyway and got the job done,” he says.
