What is the difference between ZINCALUME® and COLORBOND®?
<p class="rteBlock">Both materials are tough, durable and have been extensively tested to withstand corrosion in the harshest Australian environments. COLORBOND® is available in a wide spectrum of colours however is a little more expensive than ZINCALUME®. </p><br><p class="rteBlock">ZINCALUME® is less energy-efficient due to its shiny finish, and can sometimes cause reflection issues which are disliked by councils. Can I extend my structure after it is built?
<p class="rteBlock">When you design a building that is engineered to handle an extension, the process is vastly easier (and cheaper) if you need to extend it at a later date. Does Steelcorp use roll-formed or structural steel?
<p class="rteBlock">Our structures are fabricated to order from hot-formed RHS steel members, providing structural integrity and making them suitable for large spans. Cheap components made of lightweight steel sheets formed into <span style="text-decoration:underline"><a value="/c-vs-z-sections" label="" type="blog_post" blog_post_id="14071541" sitescopedid="9f4f2d55" href="/c-vs-z-sections" data-runtime-url="/c-vs-z-sections">C or Z purlins</a></span> are prone to bending and twisting, making them unsuitable for heavy-duty applications. </p>
Do I need a concrete firewall in my structure?
<p class="rteBlock">Firewalls are required in the majority of commercial and industrial buildings, however they don’t necessarily need to be made from concrete tilt panels. Can Steelcorp assist with building approvals?
<p class="rteBlock">Council permits and building approval processes are often the most daunting aspects of the build for our clients. How much does a commercial steel building cost?
<p class="rteBlock">Every commercial steel building is different, but it can be helpful at the outset of your project to have a rough idea of cost estimates for different types of commercial buildings. An average commercial warehouse costs $1,500 – $2,500 per square metre for a turn-key build. How can I ensure my project is cost-effective?

Are your structures available in standard heights and sizes?
<p class="rteBlock">Knowing some of the standard dimensions we work with can help you plan ahead and get a more cost-effective structure. Our spans range from 18m to 36m,  with heights from 4m to 8.85m. What stair regulations do I need to be aware of?
<p class="rteBlock">If you’re building a commercial structure with a mezzanine, or a steel structure that has two distinct levels, there are several stair regulations that you’ll need to adhere to. Why is hot dip galvanizing important?
<p class="rteBlock"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><a value="/what-is-hot-dip-galvanising" label="" type="blog_post" blog_post_id="14105301" sitescopedid="f3193e5b" href="/what-is-hot-dip-galvanising" data-runtime-url="/what-is-hot-dip-galvanising">Hot dip galvanising</a></span> is a process that helps protect critical structural components of your structure, such as steel columns and trusses. This process involves immersing the iron in a bath of molten zinc that has a temperature of around 450 degrees Celsius. When the iron is immersed, a metallurgical reaction occurs forming a bond between the iron and the zinc. This bond helps protect the iron from rust and corrosion, increasing the longevity of your structure. This process is highly recommended by Steelcorp.</p>
What is the warranty on Steelcorp’s structures?
