CFA Wodonga

<p class="rteBlock">Steelcorp was contracted by Q1 Constructions, a privately owned construction company specialising in the construction of commercial and industrial developments throughout the Albury-Wodonga region.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">Based in North East Victoria, Q1 Constructions was ideally situated to complete this shed project within the grounds of Wodonga TAFE.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">Designed for the Country Fire Authority (CFA) as an asset storage facility, training room and multipurpose space, this 1800sqm structure required a design that allowed easy access for fire fighting appliances and equipment.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">With internal partitioned walls to create functional spaces, and 4 full height bay doors for easy vehicle access, the final design was both simple and practical.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">Steelcorp’s scope of works included the initial building design and structural engineering, along with the concrete footings, concrete slab, drafting, manufacturing and installation.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">With the understanding that shed extensions can be difficult once the structure is complete, the client opted to extend the shed part way through the project, resulting in a design change that would improve the shed’s functionality in the future. Additionally, an awning was added to offer better usability in wet weather conditions.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">The Steelcorp design team was able to action these changes without significant disruption to the overall project.</p>

<p class="rteBlock">The Country Fire Authority now has 1800 sqm of functional, multipurpose space that they can use as an asset storage facility and training room. </p><br><p class="rteBlock">With internal partitioned walls to create functional spaces, and 4 full-height bay doors for easy vehicle access, the final design is both simple and practical. </p>
