The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) recently engaged Steelcorp to design and construct two sheds at Wagga Wagga, NSW.
The structures included a 12-unit safe storage compound and an open front machinery storage shed.
The facilities manager in charge of overseeing the project says the sheds now protect their assets, which is critically important for the farm research facility.
The safe storage compound of 12 units is 36m long and 12m wide, with a height of 3.2m.
The open front machinery storage shed, pictured, is 49m long and 15m wide, with a height of 5m. It features chain mesh swing gates as an added security measure.
DPI says they found Steelcorp online, when searching for a shed manufacturer.
The quote process went “smoothly” and the project was handed over to him to oversee.
“When it first came through we made a few alterations,” he says.
“We added a roller door and had some unforeseen site clearance issues to work through. We had no dramas doing this.
“It was good, they were really easy fellows to work with. The installers were really tidy, they never left a mess, I wasn’t expecting that.
“I’d have no hesitation recommending Steelcorp and we will be coming back to them if we need any more sheds.”
